Your agent keeps your CRM up to date.

The agent finds any record, logs activities, manages lists and sequences, and prepares content as drafts. Which marketing features you get depends on your HubSpot plan.

  • Coverage: nearly complete
  • 36 tools · 17 of them make changes
What it does

Read and change.

Your agent works with exactly the permissions of the connected account. Read tools are quick to enable. Tools that change data stay off until you explicitly turn them on.

What your agent can read

  • Contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads and custom objects, with any filters and associations.
  • Pipelines and stages, owners, lists and their members, all properties.
  • Campaigns with metrics and attributed revenue.
  • Forms and their submissions, plus each contact's subscription status.
  • Sequences and enrollments, workflows and their actions.
  • Blog posts, landing pages and website pages.

What your agent can change

  • Create and update records, and sync them in bulk, for example contacts by email address.
  • Associate records; log notes, tasks, calls, meetings and emails.
  • Create and maintain static and active lists.
  • Set subscription status (opt-in or opt-out) with a GDPR legal basis.
  • Enroll contacts in sequences.
  • Create blog posts as drafts, edit page drafts and publish them after approval.
  • Import files into the file manager from a URL.

Only once you enable it, per agent and per tool. If you want, a person also approves each action before it runs.

Use cases

How teams use HubSpot.

Marketing, sales and RevOps run these as recurring routines or on request.

  1. 01

    Overnight CRM cleanup

    Every night
    1. Find contacts without a company and duplicate companies
    2. Flag deals with no next activity
    3. Create tasks for the record owners

ResultSales starts the day with clean data and clear tasks.

  2. 02

    Everything logged after the call

    Right after the discovery call
    1. Log the call notes on the deal
    2. Create next steps as tasks
    3. Update the deal stage

ResultNobody has to type up notes, and no follow-up gets lost.

  3. 03

    From form to sequence

A new lead fills out a form
    1. Check company and role against the ideal customer profile
    2. Enroll qualified leads in the sequence
    3. Notify the owner with context

ResultQualified leads get a quick reply, and nobody has to sort by hand.

  4. 04

    Friday pipeline review

    Every Friday
    1. Analyze deals by stage, age and owner
    2. Flag stalled deals
    3. Summarize the biggest risks

ResultYour pipeline meeting starts with numbers.

Built-in safeguards

  • The Data Hub only requests extra permissions for marketing features if your HubSpot plan includes them, so the connection never fails because of them.
  • Content is created as a draft. Publishing is a separate tool that you have to enable explicitly.
  • Every result tells the agent what the fields mean: the deal stage is an internal ID, open deals can have a close date in the past, and for totals across currencies there is the amount in the company currency.
  • If you want, changes only run after a person approves them, for example the team lead: in the Data Hub, in Slack or via a link. On top of that, each agent has daily and hourly limits.
  • Guardrails for every agent: deletes and changes to more than 10 records need approval by default, an emergency brake kicks in on a run of deletes, and you can set your own rules per tool.
  • Each connection has an access level: Read, Write or Admin. Where the vendor allows it, the Data Hub only requests the permissions for that level.
  • Credentials are stored encrypted in the Data Hub, and the agent never sees them. Every call is logged.

What it can't do

  • HubSpot offers no API at all for creating reports and dashboards, social posts, ad management or chatbots.
  • What's available depends on your HubSpot plan: campaigns, for example, from Marketing Hub Pro, custom objects from Enterprise.
  • Sequences: at most 1,000 enrollments per inbox per day. Sending marketing emails requires Marketing Hub Enterprise or the transactional email add-on.

What's possible here depends on what HubSpot offers through its API. We make available what the API allows, as ready-made tools or through the generic API request to HubSpot, and we check new API versions regularly.
