Campaign assets from your template.
Your agent finds presentations, social posts and flyers in Canva, fills your brand templates with a campaign's key facts and delivers the files as PDF, PNG or PowerPoint.
- Coverage: nearly complete
- 37 tools · 20 of them make changes
Read and change.
Your agent works with exactly the permissions of the connected account. Read tools are quick to enable. Tools that change data stay off until you explicitly turn them on.
What your agent can read
- Search designs, your own and shared ones, by title and content.
- Exports as PDF, PNG, JPG, GIF, PowerPoint, MP4 or CSV, single pages too.
- Brand templates and which fields can be filled automatically.
- Folders, uploaded images and videos, comments on designs.
- With Canva Enterprise: who viewed a shared design and how long per page.
What your agent can change
- Fill brand templates with text, images, charts and tables.
- Create and copy designs, adapt them to other formats and merge pages.
- Import files such as PDF, PowerPoint or Word as designs, upload images and videos.
- Generate docs, presentations and images with Canva AI, remove backgrounds.
- Comment, create folders and file designs.
Only once you enable it, per agent and per tool. If you want, a person also approves each action before it runs.

Built-in safeguards
- The agent only sees what the signed-in person sees in Canva.
- Deleting images, folders and pages needs your approval. Before filling a design, the agent shows you the planned values.
- If you want, changes only run after a person approves them, for example the team lead: in the Data Hub, in Slack or via a link. On top of that, each agent has daily and hourly limits.
- Guardrails for every agent: deletes and changes to more than 10 records need approval by default, an emergency brake kicks in on a run of deletes, and you can set your own rules per tool.
- Each connection has an access level: Read, Write or Admin. Where the vendor allows it, the Data Hub only requests the permissions for that level.
- Credentials are stored encrypted in the Data Hub, and the agent never sees them. Every call is logged.
What it can't do
- This connection doesn't read the text of individual pages; the Canva MCP does.
- Autofill, resizing and brand templates need Canva Pro, Teams or Enterprise, analytics need Canva Enterprise. AI features use the signed-in person's Canva AI allowance.
- Export download links are valid for 24 hours. There is no undo: deleted items are in the Canva trash.
What's possible here depends on what Canva offers through its API. We make available what the API allows, as ready-made tools or through the generic API request to Canva, and we check new API versions regularly.
